About
BUEST was established in 2002 and received university status in 2009. It sits in the foothills of the Himalayas in the industrial area of Baddi, 40 km from Chandigarh.To complement its top class educational programs, the university has a residential campus spread over 40 acres of picturesque slopes in the midst of Shivalik Hills at Baddi in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The institutes have built up an impressive infrastructure for academics, co-curricular and sports activities. Besides separate hostels for boys and girls with all the basic amenities, the institutes have a treasure-trove of books and periodicals in the libraries. The classrooms are well designed and laboratories have state-of-the- art equipment.

BUEST is a private university established under Act No. 21 of 2009 of the Himachal Pradesh Government.
Admissions for UG and PG courses typically begin in March each year. Students can apply online via the official website or offline by visiting campus.
BUEST conducts its own entrance exam (BU-CET) for most programs. JEE Main scores are accepted for B.Tech, and a valid GATE score is required for M.Tech admission.
Yes. Merit-based scholarships offer 10%–50% tuition fee concessions based on Class 12 and entrance exam scores. Army and JEE Main-based scholarships are also available.
The 40-acre campus offers hostels, smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, libraries (for MBA, Engineering, and Pharmacy), a gym, and sports facilities including cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis.
100% eligible students of the 2025 batch were placed. The average package is 3–4 LPA. The highest recorded package is 1.5 Crore. Pharmacy consistently achieves 100% placement. BUEST is also a Nodal Centre for the Indian Navy and Army recruitment.
