The Bangalore Group of Institutions has seen catapulting growth over the years. Slowly but steadily, we have been successful at adding a wide number of professional courses to our higher education colleges giving aspiring students a platform to develop into qualified professionals. Here’s a timeline of our progress as a distinguished educational institution.

2008: Started Nursing Diploma School at Florida School of Nursing with an intake of 50 students annually.

2009: Started nursing degree courses, including B.Sc. Nursing, PB B.Sc. Nursing, and M.Sc. Nursing with an annual intake of 50, 40, and 20 students respectively annually at Florida College of Nursing. We also started another Diploma Nursing School here that admits 60 students per year.

2010: Started four branches of Engineering at the Bangalore Technological Institute with each branch admitting 120 students annually.

2017: Introduced Diploma in Pharmacy course at Bangalore College of Pharmacy and the course has an annual intake of 60 students.

2018: Started BBA Aviation, BCom course at Bangalore College of Management, which has an annual capacity of 60 students for this course.

2019: Started BS/MD programme at Emilio Institute of Medical Science BS is conducted by Bangalore Group of Institutions followed by MD from Emilio Aguinaldo College – School of Medicine from Philippines. This degree is approved by CHED, Philippines and Medical Council of India.

The Department of Training and Placement imparts excellent training to the students so that they excel during the placement process. Many companies have visited our campus and appreciated the facilities and quality of education imparted to the students during campus recruitment.

CAMPUS:

Bangalore Group of Institutions main campus is strategically located on Sarjapur Road which is part of the IT corridor in Bangalore. The 20 acre truly green countryside campus, the abundance of Technology companies and premium residential projects in the area inspires students to aim high and become achievers in life keeping with the same spirit.

The college provides the latest in technology tools and teaching aids that help deliver the courses creatively and effectively. There are plenty of opportunities to network with some of the Technology companies, along with placements and campus hiring.

CLASSROOMS AND LABS:

The Library and Information Center at Bangalore Group of Institutions is a real treat to the students in their quest for knowledge. The modern library has vast collection of prescribed textbooks, reference books, standard manuals, technical reports and conference proceedings.

The library also subscribes and stocks several national and international journals. The library houses high-end computers with high-speed Wi-Fi connection. Students can access e-journals like DELNET and science Direct to enhance their technical acumen.

The digital library section houses an extensive collection of CD-ROMs and DVDs. BGI library is a member of INSEST-AICTE consortium.

LANGUAGE LAB:

We live in an increasingly globalized economy, which means people skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills are important to ensure good career placements. Bangalore Group of Institutions places equal importance on curriculum and overall personality development of the student.

In this regard, the Language Lab at BGI helps students work on their communication skills. The Language Lab is well equipped with the latest technology and reference material that will help students with their written communication, spoken communication and vocabulary.

CANTEEN:

Bangalore Group of Institutions has two Food courts – College Mess and College Canteen. College mess is for hostelers and Canteen is for the non-hostelers. Both serve fresh breakfast and lunch meals for the students.

All hostelers eat their breakfast, lunch and dinner at the college mess. Each day has a different menu decided in advance. Food hygiene is the utmost priority at Bangalore Group of Institutions. Every students get fresh and hot meals in the college mess. Students can select their veg and non-veg meals from the buffet placed at specific times.

HOSTEL:

Students who opt for Hostel facilities at Bangalore Group of Institutions can enjoy the homely atmosphere along with hygienically maintained top class facilities. Separate hostels for boys and girls are situated within walking distance from the college for convenience. Round the clock security ensures that our students are safe at BGI.

The Cafeteria provides tasty and nutritious vegetarian and non-vegetarian food that is supervised by qualified staff. Wi-Fi connectivity ensures students can work on assignment and study from the comfort of their rooms. First-aid kit, ambulance and access to medical help care for emergencies are duly available. Parents of students who would like to visit their children for a day or two can avail accommodation at subsidized rates.

LIBRARY:

With sufficient titles from various publishers our library has a voluminous collection of books, covering all subjects including reference work to meet the information needs of the students and faculty. The ambiance and proximity to reach out in choosing books and software installed are of much help to those users of the library facility.

In addition to providing prescribed text books, volumes on topics furnishing more details and information are accessible through reference books, eBooks, journals, periodicals and magazines. As is the case with library service the students are allowed to borrow books for a specified period of time. Library facility is available from 8:30 AM to 05:30 PM on all working days.

TRANSPORTATION:

Bangalore Group of Institutions provides adequate bus service to the students who travel from various parts of the city. GPS enabled buses pick up the students from various predetermined pick up points the city as per a schedule that is circulated in advance.

The locality surrounding the college has excellent bus convenience for any change in plans. The buses themselves are of top quality to ensure a safe and pleasant transit to and from the college.
