About Mai Bhago Ayurvedic Medical College

Mai Bhago Ayurvedic College, Muktsar has been setup in the fond memory of "MAI BHAGO" a lady warrior, who infused new spirit among the fugitive soldiers. Hence, the college Owes its origin to the sentiments associated with our great Heroic and Philanthropist traditions and our peerless history. The college is run by Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society (Regd.), Muktsar similarly as GURU GOBIND SINGH JI transformed the helpless "SPARROWS" into ferocious "BAAZ", so does this society. It cherishes the high idea of SERVICE, SACRIFICE & SELF-EFFACEMENT.

Mai Bhago Ayurvedic College, Muktsar was inaugurated in July 1995 by the then Hon'ble Chief Minister of Punjab, S. Harcharan Singh Ji Brar. It is the second college in the north India & only college for the girls in Punjab to study Ayurveda. Our institute is an Unaided, Self-financing Private Ayurveda College serving the society since 1995. Our college is recognized by Ministry of AYUSH New Delhi, Central Council of Indian Medicine New Delhi, Govt. Of Punjab and affiliated with Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur (Punjab).

Intake Capacity : We have a sanctioned intake capacity of 60 seats in B.A.M.S. vide AYUSH Letter No. R13011/06/2014-EP (IM-1), Dated: 03-Aug-2015 for five years.

Mai Bhago Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital

Our Hospital is situated in the Mai Bhago Ayurvedic Medical College campus at Ferozepur road in Sri Muktsar Sahib since 1995. It is a 60 bedded hospital with all the essential medical facilities. Our main objective is to provide the best healthcare services to the surrounding society especially the rural folks.

We have following OPDs

Kayachikitsa (Medicine) - for General diseases
Shalya Tantra (Surgery) - for minor & major operatives diseases
Prasuti Tantra & Stri Rog (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) - for female diseases
Balrog (Paediatrics) - for children diseases
Shalaya Tantra (Ophthalmology & E.N.T.& Dental Medicine) - for Eyes, Ears, Throat, Teeth diseases
Panchkarma (Medical Procedures) - for general diseases
Swasthvritta & Yoga (Hygiene & Yoga) - for general diseases
Aatyayika (Emergency) - for primary medical emergency management

Our hospital has general IPDs as well as private rooms for admitted patients. We have a well equipped Operation theatre where our specialized doctors perform various Ayurvedic operative procedures like Kshar Sutra, Jalauka, Agnikarma, Siravedh etc. Other operations are also done by the visiting allopathic consultants.

We have a fully functional Clinical Laboratory where all the clinical investigations like blood tests, urine tests of OPD & IPD patients are performed by well qualified staff.

We also have X-ray, ECG, Physiotherapy treatments also for OPD & IPD patients.

We have a well furnished Panchkarma centre where all types of following Kerala Ayurveda procedures are done on routine basis.
